Star stitch scarf

Materials :

Worsted weight yarn (10 ply),

5 mm crochet hook,

scissors.

Abbreviation :

Ch _ chain
Sc _ single crochet
Sl st _ slip stitch
Hdc _ half double crochet

Pattern:

ch 41,

Row 1: Skip 1st ch, draw up a loop in each of next 5 stitches , yarn over, draw through 6 loops.

ch1 then draw a loop through the eye formed by the ch.,

draw a loop through back of last loop of the formed last star.

draw a loop through same ch. where last loop of previous star was made.

draw a loop through each of next 2 ch. stitches.

turn over and draw through the 6 loops on hook, ch1. Repeat in the same manner to the end of the row, hdc

Break off the yarn.

Row 2: Ch1,turn, sc in the same st, sc in the eye, 2 sc in the next eye of each stae till the end, sc on the top of the turning ch.

Row 3:  ch2, draw a loop in the front strand of 2nd ch from the hook,

draw another loop in the back strand of the 2nd ch, draw a loop in the 1st stitch of the row.

draw a loop in the next 3 sc, yarn over, draw through 6 loops, ch1, draw a loop in the eye of the last star, draw a loop in the back of the last loop of previous star, another loop from the same stitch, draw a loop in each of the next 2 stitches, yarn over and draw through 6 loops, repeat till the end but make sure that the last st will be hdc.

Row 4 - 78: repeat row 2, 3.

FO,  weave in ends

Join the ends together with sl st
